Ovation Gets a New Head

This Ovation’s owner had tried to rescue it after the headstock broke.  He had the right idea – glue and reinforcement, but as you can see it didn’t turn out as hoped.  The original headstock might have been salvageable, but it would have taken many hours to clean it up and arrange a match between the headstock and neck.  Since the owner’s main interest was to be able to play it again, we went with a new headstock.  The owner now has it back in his hands and it once again plays as before.
