Oooops!
Even in the best of hands bad things do happen. This
Spanish built classical guitar belongs to Oklahoma City
guitar teacher Mike Fresonke. He describes it as his
“working guitar.” I felt complimented when he called and
asked if I’d take a look at it, and was pleased that he was
not waiting to have it fixed – waiting is generally not a
good thing. The top was cracked loose from the sides from
the lower waist to the rear end. Mike didn’t care about a
full refinish, so the crack was fixed and reinforced and
finish repaired so that it’s safe to play. Spanish built
classical guitars are amongst my favorites. This should
give him many years of satisfaction.
