Harmony
Monterey
I was told, before I ever saw this mandolin, that it
belonged to the grandfather of the man who was looking to
have it repaired. There was a birthday coming and a
repaired and playable mandolin was to be the gift. While
Harmony Monterey’s were not expensive models, they did have
some charm. This one still had charm, but age and a few
serious encounters had left it in rugged shape as you can
see. It’s a great pleasure to me to return a family
instrument to its owner in good, playable condition. I hope
this one makes it back to its owner, but if it doesn’t get
back to granddad it will be lovingly in the hands of the
grandson.
