Frankenphone

This Epiphone was a gift, and a challenge, from a friend.  It’s an Epiphone mandolin made in the US.  What the previous owner was trying to do will remain a mystery, but the back had been sawn off and it looked like they were getting ready to do the same to the fret board before they tired (thankfully so).  There was some “work” done to the top, but I had no idea what they wanted as a result.  Long story short, it came back together, looks great for its age, and plays and sounds great.  It lives!
